Killington

As snow guns roar on the upper elevations of the mountain, Killington has announced opening day will be Friday for season and Ikon passholders. Day tickets will be available for the weekend.

Traditional early season operations are expected, with the K1 gondola transporting skiers to the summit staircase, where they will then hike to the lift-served North Ridge complex.

Killington has had an October opening day in six of the past ten seasons. Last year, Killington and Wachusett opened on November 20, as the Vermont resort waited until it felt it had adequate top to bottom terrain to operate with COVID-19 concerns.

Other ski areas are also making snow during the current cold snap.
