Construction is progressing for seven lift projects slated to be built in New England this year. Aerial lift projects are limited to independent and locally-operated areas this year, as Alterra, Boyne, and Vail have no installations in progress in New England.
Killington
Towers for the new Superstar six pack are now standing and the top terminal is nearing completion. The new Doppelmayr lift replaces an aging Yan-Poma quad.
Ski Butternut
Ski Butternut's Overbrook triple chairlift has been removed to make way for a new SkyTrac fixed grip quad. Work is now underway on the new base terminal.
Wachusett
Footings have been poured as Wachusett moves forward with its new Doppelmayr high speed six pack, which replaces a high speed quad. Crews recently took delivery of the new chairs, which will have automatic safety bars.
Bretton Woods
The haul rope has been spliced for the new BEQII at Bretton Woods.
The Leitner-Poma high speed quad replaces the former Doppelmayr Bethlehem Express Quad. In addition, crews have been removing the upper mountain Fabyan's Triple, which has seen little use since being truncated in 2020 to make way for the Skyway Gondola.
Waterville Valley
Waterville Valley is currently pouring footings for its new MND T-Bar to be installed on Lower White Caps. The World Cup T-Bar was removed this spring, as a crossover has been cut from the future top terminal to the World Cup trail.
