Killington has announced $22 million in capital investments for the 2026-27 season, including the replacement of the Snowdon Triple.
Though a manufacturer has not been selected for the new lift, the press release noted it will be a $6.5 million fixed grip quad to provide redundancy when the adjacent Snowdon Six is unable to run due to icing events.
The second oldest operating triple chairlift in New England, the Snowdon was installed by Heron-Poma in 1973, one year after the North Ridge Triple (replaced in 2019). Knomes Knoll at Pico is the oldest triple chairlift in New England, installed in 1971. It is not known if the Snowdon replacement will have a mid-station (a mid-station was added to the Snowdon triple in 2015 for race slope access).
Meanwhile, the Jerk Jamaican facility near the mid-station of the Skyeship Gondola will be dramatically expanded, increasing seating capacity from 26 to 160 and adding new indoor restaurants.
