Construction of the new Killington base lodge won't resume until next winter, the Mountain Times reports.

The $27 million facility was originally supposed to open for the 2020-21 season, providing 57% more space than the existing facility. Construction started in 2019 and was nearing the scheduled demolition of the original base lodge when COVID-19 shut downs halted work. The new structure stands unfinished next to the still-open original base lodge.

According to the Mountain Times, Killington attributed the new delay to "other priorities we have to tend to."
