Skiing is expected in Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont by the weekend.

Killington season passholders will be the first to ski in New England this season, as the Vermont area opens this morning. Lift tickets for the general public go on sale tomorrow.

Rime and Reason will be served by the North Ridge Triple. Access to the pod is facilitated by the K1 Gondola and the Peak Walkway.

Meanwhile, snowmaking is underway at 12 other areas, with at least three announcing plans to open by Saturday (as of Wednesday morning). Additional areas could fire up snowmaking shortly and/or open by the weekend.
