Killington, June 4, 2022
For the first time since the COVID-19 shutdown, June skiing is returning to New England, albeit with some walking required.
The "Snow & Dirt Reporter's Update" stated that the "Superstar Glacier is looking a bit browner than we’d hoped," but "We want to keep our promise and enable you to check "ski/snowboard" in June off your to do list."
Though Killington has been able to provide continuous snow cover for some June operations, there have also been similar instances in the past in which walking was required, including during the pre-Superstar days. The June 4th closing is the latest since the 1996-97 season, the first under American Skiing Company. The first June closing on record at Killington was in 1982.

Killington's season made it to June in two of the three seasons prior to the COVID-19 shut down. Closing day last year was May 16.
The lift is expected to operate for a few hours today before officially closing for the season. June 4th will be Killington's 192nd day of operation this season, which started on November 5.
