Outpost

Two months after announcing the removal of the aging Outpost Double at Pico, Killington announced yesterday that it plans to install a short rope tow to provide lift service to the complex next winter.

The temporary lift will be installed on That-A-Way, running from Prospector to the summit of the complex. Meanwhile, the resort has announced that it is planning to install a fixed grip chairlift on the existing Outpost Double footprint for the 2027-28 season. The 1969 Carlevaro & Savio chairlift suffered a main drive shaft failure earlier this year, resulting in its closure.
