Karl Strand Named General Manager at Sugarloaf
John Diller to retire at end of season.

Four months after announcing the retirement of longtime General Manager John Diller, Sugarloaf has named Sunday River Vice President of Mountain Operations Karl Strand as its next President and General Manager.

Diller, head of Sugarloaf since 1998, will step down in April 2015.

Strand began his tenure with Sugarloaf/Sunday River in 2004, when he was named Vice President of Lodging and Property Management of the resorts. Stand studied at Bryant University and Culinary Institute of America.
