After a post-COVID surge in projects, only two new aerial lifts are expected to be installed in New England this off-season. The previous record low since the 1950s was three, set during the 1991 off-season.

Killington will be installing a fixed-grip quad, replacing the 1973 Snowdon triple chairlift. Meanwhile, Haystack will be installing a high speed quad where the Hayfever triple stood until 2020.

Both lifts will be installed by Doppelmayr, which is currently overhauling the Panorama quad at Gunstock with a new drive, control system, and operator buildings.

A number of lift projects are at various stages of planning for the near-term future:

Maine
Lonesome Pine - T-Bar replacement
Sugarloaf - Timberline detachable replacement

New Hampshire
Loon - gondola replacement, Riverwalk gondola

Vermont
Burke - new chairlift
Jay Peak - detachable chairlift
Pico - Outpost replacement
Stratton - Tamarack detachable replacement
Sugarbush - North Ridge detachable replacement
