Lift crews are on site at Sugarbush and Haystack.

With ski season about three months away, Vermont's construction season is in full swing.

Doppelmayr is on site at both Sugarbush and Hermitage Club at Haystack Mountain. The former Valley House and Barnstormer lifts have been removed, with West Mountain in New York acquiring the Poma components. A high speed six person bubble chairlift is being installed at Haystack, while base and summit footings are being poured for a new fixed grip quad at Sugarbush. The new Valley House lift will feature a lower loading area and a significantly improved unloading area (complete with a newly blasted bypass for thru traffic).

Meanwhile, Stratton's lodge project price tag has increased from $8.5 million to $9 million. Some 4,000 square feet are expected to be added on new second floor wings for the 2015-16 season.

Q Burke's massive EB-5 funded hotel continues to progress, with a December 11 opening projected.
