The Hermitage Club is planning to install a new high speed quad at its private Haystack ski area this summer, LiftBlog.com reports.
NewEnglandSkiIndustry.com has learned from a source at the mountain that the project is in part a hedge against wind holds on the six person bubble chairlift, which "cripple" the area.

The new lift is expected to be similar to the former Hayfever Triple, which was relocated to Bousquet in 2020. Installed by Poma in 1985, the lift was 3,335 feet long by 804 feet vertical, terminating near the current Mid Mountain Lodge.
Located on the same ridge as Mount Snow, Haystack opened as a standalone area in 1964, but faced multiple bankruptcies and closures. The area was operated in conjunction with Mount Snow from 1991 through 2005, at which point it was sold by the American Skiing Company with a restriction from operating as a public ski area.
