Jay Peak, May 10, 2025

A rainy start to May will be ending the 2024-25 season with a whimper. Killington is operating its Canyon Quad today, while Jay Peak will spin the Jet Triple one final time tomorrow.

The May 10 closing is Killington's earliest since the March 14, 2020 COVID shutdown and the April 22 end to the 2011-12 season. Killington pivoted late season operations to the Canyon complex this year to make way for the Superstar chairlift replacement.

The anticipated May 11 closing at Jay Peak is later than normal at the Northern Vermont ski area, bolstered by above-average natural snowfall. The area plans to operate a magic carpet lift and small terrain park for the summer solstice, as it did last season.
