After a warmer than normal start to November, snow and snowmaking weather have finally arrived in New England.

Sunday River is set to open tomorrow at 9 AM, followed by Killington at noon. Both areas will initially be upper-mountain only and limited to passholders only.

Additional ski areas in Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont are expected to be in operation by the weekend.

Slowed by warm weather and pipeline issues, November 17 is Killington's latest non-COVID opening day since 2006. Sunday River opened on November 18 last year.

Killington has also announced that it received the go-ahead from International Ski and Snowboard Federation for its World Cup race later this month.
