In its annual capital improvement press release, Pats Peak announced the addition of three new trails in its Cascade Basin complex. Serviced by a triple chairlift, Cascade Basin debuted for the 2013-14 season.

Cascade Brook will serve novices while Scirocco is expected to be an expert bump run. In addition to the two trails, a new glade will be opened. The new terrain will feature 100% snowmaking coverage. Night skiing will not be added to Cascade Basin for the 2014-15 season.

The announcement comes as Pats Peak works to remove three triple chairlifts from the defunct Ascutney Mountain Resort in Vermont. At least one of these lifts is expected to be installed at Pats Peak in the near future.
