Quoggy Jo Bison

Quoggy Jo nearly had to cancel night skiing on Wednesday, as a herd of bison escaped from Chris Smith's farm and soon made its way onto the Northern Maine ski area's trails.

Quoggy Jo chair Chris Killcollins told the Bangor Daily News that at 5 AM, "I happened to check the cameras because an alarm was going off, and I couldn’t believe what I was seeing."

One bison reportedly had to be put down after being hit by a car. The others were eventually led back to the farm by late afternoon, allowing Quoggy Jo to open for its previously scheduled Scout Night.

Located near Presque Isle, Quoggy Jo is a small non-profit area served by a T-Bar.
