Not leaving much to chance, lift installers have been making fast projects of jobs across Northern New England this summer.
Bretton Woods - Doppelmayr 8 Person Gondola (New)
The Bretton Woods gondola is largely complete, with the construction now focused on the summit building. While the gondola is expected to open this year, the event facility is slated for 2020 off season debut.
Killington - Leitner Poma Quad (New)
Towers were reportedly flown by helicopter this week, with Green Mountain Control Systems preparing to work on the communications line next week. The lift is expected to be completed in time for Killington's planned first-in-the-East opening this fall.
Magic - Poma Quad (Refurbished)
Lower mountain concrete has been poured, while work continues on the lift line up high. The base operators building has been constructed.
Ascutney - Doppelmayr T-Bar (Refurbished)
Work continues on the Ascutney Outdoors T-Bar, with recent requests for volunteer help to construct buildings. The refurbished T-Bar is expected to open expanded lift served terrain this winter.
Sunday River - Doppelmayr T-Bar (New)
As of the beginning of the week, towers and operator buildings have been assembled in a parking lot at Sunday River and are awaiting installation. The lift is being constructed adjacent to the Locke Mountain Triple for Gould Academy race training.
