The post-COVID-shutdown lift construction boom looks to continue in 2023, as at least eight new lifts are expected to be in operation next season.

Ten new chairlifts were installed for the 2022-23 season, in start contrast to two for 2020-21 and one for 2019-20.

The 2023 projects are in various stages of preparation, with Attitash, Middlebury, and Sunday River working on removing out-going lifts. Berkshire East appears to have recently conducted staking.

Magic Mountain plans to have its long-awaited Black Line Quad completed at some point in 2023. Installation of the used Poma lift from Stratton started in 2019 and is currently awaiting installation of a new haul rope.

Loon, Sugarloaf, and Sunday River each have installations slated to serve new terrain.
