According to WCAX, Jay Peak has postponed the second phase of its Stateside redevelopment project for at least six months. Jay Peak President and CEO Bill Stenger expects the project to be completed on time, despite the construction delay.
The news comes nearly one year after construction commenced on a scaled down first phase, resulting in a new lodge and hotel for the 2013-14 season.
The second phase of the project is expected to include construction of cottages and suites.
It is not known if the high speed detachable six pack chairlift, originally planned for 2013, will be constructed in the near future.
