Days after receiving Vermont Act 250 approval for a new high speed six person bubble chairlift, Haystack has sold the existing Barnstormer Triple to West Mountain in New York. According to West Mountain, the 1985 Poma triple chairlift will be split into two lifts, which could both be installed this season.

According to documents filed with the state, Hermitage's $7.3 million lift will be a 700 HP Doppelmayr high speed six person bubble chairlift. The new lift will follow the same line as Barnstormer.

At a "state of the club" session, club President Jim Barnes reportedly stated the new lift would have heated seats and should be open for the 2015-16 season. The Deerfield Valley News reports the club has nearly 700 members. Individual new membership now costs $70,000.
