Killington will be the second New England ski area to operate this season.

After a multi-day snowmaking campaign, Killington is set to offer the first chairlift-served skiing in New England tomorrow morning at 10 AM. Killington will only be open for season pass and related pass product skiers on Friday, with day tickets available starting on Saturday.
Rime and Reason are expected to be open, served by the North Ridge Quad. Skiers and snowboarders will access the complex via the stairway from the top of the K1 Gondola.
Ski Ward in Massachusetts was the first to offer lift-served skiing this season when it used its Latitude 90 snowmaking system to open on October 22. The small ski area has been open for ski lessons this month.
The November 3 starting date is the earliest for Killington since the 2019-20 season when it opened on the same date. Killington's 2022-23 season started on November 17.
Ski areas in Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Vermont have been making snow during the recent cold spell, however as of Thursday afternoon, no others have announced ski operations for this weekend.
